South by Southwest 2016: Technology


Dozens of panels presented what was cutting edge in 2016. Companies including 6SensorLab, Admetsys, and Noninvasix. 6SensorLab described a device in development that could detect and report on the chemical composition of a sample of food called NIMA. Iskander Smit explained the research about the use of haptics placed on the human wrist. Body data was beginning to be gathered for individual use. Testing was in progress on implanting brain prosthetics to send information from the external world to the human brain, communicating to the hippocampus. Noninvasix was testing devices to provide medical support and testing to even the tiniest patients.
